Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
Adapix ("we", "us", "our") provides customer follow-up software for small businesses at adapixai.com and app.adapixai.com (together, the "Service"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies both to business owners who create Adapix accounts and to the customers of those businesses whose contact information is added to the Service.
Information we collect
- Account information — when a business signs up: name, email address, business name, and the business details the owner chooses to teach Adapix (services, prices, hours, common answers).
- Customer contact information — businesses using Adapix add their own customers' names, phone numbers, and email addresses so Adapix can draft follow-ups on the business's behalf. The business is responsible for having proper consent to contact the people it adds.
- Message content — the follow-up texts, emails, and call transcripts sent and received through the platform, retained so business owners can review their conversations.
- Usage and device information — basic technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) collected automatically when you use the Service, used for security and to keep the Service working.
- Push notification subscriptions — if a business owner turns on notifications, we store the browser-issued subscription token needed to deliver them. This token identifies a browser, not a person, and can be revoked at any time from browser settings.
How we use information
- To draft, send, and deliver follow-up messages that the business owner has personally reviewed and approved.
- To answer customer replies using only the information the business taught Adapix.
- To notify business owners when a draft is waiting or a customer needs their attention.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
Text messaging and mobile information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Customers receive texts only after providing their phone number to a business they contacted. Reply STOP to any message to opt out — opt-outs are honored automatically and immediately. Reply HELP for help. Full SMS program details are in our Terms of Service and our public opt-in documentation.
What we don't do
- We do not sell personal information — not business owners', not their customers'.
- We do not use one business's customer data to benefit another business. Every account's data is isolated to that account.
- We do not use customer message content to advertise to customers.
Service providers
We use a small number of infrastructure providers to deliver the Service — messaging carriers (e.g., Twilio), email delivery, AI text generation (Anthropic), and cloud hosting (Railway, Vercel). They process data only to provide their service to us, are bound by confidentiality obligations, and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing.
Data retention and deletion
We keep account data and message history for as long as the account is active, so business owners can review their conversation history. When an account is closed, we delete its data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep specific records longer. Business owners can delete contacts and their data from the dashboard at any time, or request full account deletion by emailing us.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access is restricted to what the Service needs to operate. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected users of any breach as required by law.
Your choices and rights
- Business owners can review, correct, export, or delete their account information by contacting us, and can delete customer records from their dashboard.
- Customers of businesses can opt out of texts by replying STOP, unsubscribe from emails via the link in any email, or contact the business (or us) to have their information corrected or deleted.
- Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU/UK), you may have additional legal rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information. To exercise them, contact us at the address below — we honor these requests regardless of where you live.
Children's privacy
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child's information was added to the Service, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify account holders by email or in the dashboard before the change takes effect.
